Mental Health Awareness

Individual Therapy

How hard does an individual have to work on their white horse before falling off it?

Although my specialty is men’s mental health, I welcome anyone who wants to see me. I have experience with all different types of people.

We are often expected to handle things perfectly while upholding our daily lives. Balancing work, relationships, and present and past occurrences can be difficult. I want to be able to hold space for you so you can feel at peace, rest, and talk about what you need to discuss to live an authentic life as you want.

No man is an island. Sometimes, a successful life takes a village. In these sessions, I will be in your corner, supporting and encouraging you in any way that I can.

As a marriage and family therapist, individual sessions can involve exploring the perspectives and opinions of people in your life to expand more of your story.

Family Therapy

COUPLES AND FAMILY Therapy

What do we do as relational creatures when our relationship is not working out?

Anyone in any relationship is welcome to try this type of therapy (immediate and distant family, married or separated couples, dating or engaged couples, and friends).

Since I can remember, I have been taught that home and family are where you hold people dear. However, this does not mean that home is always peaceful. We are inherently good creatures with different thoughts and ideas. Even though we try our best to communicate these thoughts and ideas, it may still result in misunderstandings and conflict.

As your relational therapist, neither person is my client, but the relationship is my client. I will help uncover communication styles that can help everyone involved be in a safe space.

Additionally, a conflict does not need to be present to start relational therapy. Some may start because they want to improve their relationship or meet a goal together.

Christian Counseling

FAITH-BASED MENTAL HEALTH therapy

How does your understanding of the universe affect you?

It will only happen upon request. All faiths and philosophies are welcome. Faith-based mental health counseling is not evangelizing, teaching, or spiritual direction.

Faiths and philosophies are strengths because they give people a moral compass. However, life is not simple, and we are not perfect beings. It can throw us things that may cause us to question our faith and philosophies, which can cause us distress.

As a person-centered therapist, you tell me how you want faith-based counseling to look. We will use your ideas as a road map to help you find peace of mind.

As a strength-based therapist, faith-based counseling can be used even if there is no conflict with your faith or philosophies. It can enhance your therapeutic experience and help you achieve your goals.

what does it mean to have a Strength-Based and Person-Centered Therapist?

A strength-based therapist looks for, uncovers, and highlights strengths of clients' strengths. No matter how dark your past or present is, strengths and moments of goodness are always embedded into your story. However, this does not mean we will only discuss your strengths or that I will disregard your problems when you want to discuss them. As a Person-Centered therapist, you are driving the car. You have control over what we discuss. Although I may have a Master's degree in marriage and family therapy, I do not hold a degree in what your life is like. You are the expert of your life, and I am the GPS suggesting where to go, but you choose if you want to take that turn.
